Cookie Policy
This website uses cookies.
The https://www.madeinadd.com platform (the “Platform”) uses cookies to make your browsing experience as a user easier and more intuitive.
This Policy describes the cookies installed by the Platform, their characteristics and purposes. It also explains which cookies require your consent to be installed and how this consent can be withdrawn, including as a result of the settings of your used browser. With reference to third-party cookies, we provide you with links to their respective policies.
The processing of personal data collected via the Platform is carried out by MadeInAdd S.r.l., with registered office in Milano, 38 Via Copernico, postcode 10125, tax ID and VAT no. 12722530016, in its capacity as Data Controller (the “Controller”). The Cookie Policy forms an integral part of our Privacy Policy, which we invite you to read carefully.
The Cookie Policy has been drafted in compliance with current legislation on cookies, in particular with: Directive 2002/58/EC (“ePrivacy Directive”); Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (the “GDPR”); Legislative Decree no. 196 of 30 June 2016 (“Privacy Code”); and the Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority and the European Data Protection Board.
What are cookies?
Cookies are short text strings that all visited websites place and store, whether directly or indirectly, through third-parties, into users’ terminal devices such as computers, tablets or smartphones. In general, cookies improve the operation of the Platform and the overall experience of users, who may also give their consent to the receipt of commercial communications. Cookies are not executable codes and do not infect devices with viruses.
The information encoded in cookies may include personal data, such as IP addresses, users’ names, unique identifiers or email addresses, but may also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information about the type of device a user is using to browse within the Platform.
Cookies can be differentiated depending on the party using them (i.e., first-party or third-party cookies), the time they last (i.e., session or persistent cookies) and their purpose (i.e., technical, analytical or profiling cookies).
In general, third-party cookies are installed in a user device by third-parties through a website, mostly in order to provide targeted services or advertising content. In such cases, where not only technical cookies – or cookies equivalent to technical cookies – are installed, your prior consent is required for their use.
Technical, analytical, profiling and third-party cookies (such as Zendesk, Hubspot, Stripe, Cookiebot, Microsoft Clarity, Facebook and LinkedIn) as well as tracking tools (such as Google Analytics and Hubspot) are used on the Platform.
With regard to third-party cookies, the Controller, as a technical intermediary, merely sends you these cookies but does not manage their operation and has therefore no control and access to the information provided or acquired, as the operation of cookies is the responsibility of the third-parties concerned. Therefore, please refer to the respective privacy and cookie policies of each of the third-parties concerned for more information regarding the way they process personal data.
The Platform may also feature “social buttons”, i.e., digital buttons (otherwise known as “icons”) providing a direct link to our pages in social networks (e.g., Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and Twitter), for which your prior consent is not required since no profiling cookies are installed in this case. Your consent applies to the www.madeinadd.com website only. Please find below tables listing cookie types and their related provider, purpose, and expiration.
The list of cookies is constantly updated.
Optional or required consent
The provision of data through cookies is based on your prior consent and is optional, with the exception of data collected through technical cookies (or through analytical cookies where these are equivalent to technical cookies).
You are asked to give your consent via a banner showing concise information on the use of cookies, which pops up on accessing the Platform.
If you click on the “Accept” button in the banner, you will accept all cookies used on the Platform, including profiling cookies. If you click on the “Customise” button, you will customise your choices. If you click on the “Reject” button, you will reject the installation of all cookies other than technical cookies. Alternatively, you can close the banner by clicking on the X in the top right-hand corner, which involves accepting default settings.
If you choose to keep default settings and, therefore, do not consent to the use of profiling cookies, or if you only consent to the use of certain cookies, your choice will be recorded and the banner will no longer be displayed, unless there are substantial changes (e.g., in the list of third-parties), or the Controller is unable to know whether a cookie has already been stored on your device, or six months have passed.
You may always change your choices at any time through the “Manage” link in the footer of the page.
Duration of cookies
Regarding duration, the cookies used in the Platform can be of two types: (i) session cookies for storing temporary information and linking the actions performed during a specific session, which are removed from the device when the browser is closed; and (ii) persistent cookies for storing the information of user selections, so that users do not have to select them again each time they access the Platform. The latter cookies will remain stored in the device even after closing the browser. The data will be stored for the time shown in the tables, which varies for each type of cookies.
How to manage and deactivate cookies
Please be informed that you may authorise, limit, block or delete cookies at any time through the settings of your used browser. If you set your device to refuse technical cookies, some services of the Platform may not be displayed correctly or may not function optimally.
The procedures for managing cookies differ depending on your used browser. Below you will find links to the most commonly used browsers where you can change your cookie settings.
